Brenn’s custom gown began as a dress purchased at a vintage shop in Europe. We reused the original lace from the skirt and part of the flounce on the bodice, and incorporated five other new coordinating laces or nets, and a new, fully nude colored lining to keep the dress light and sheer, yet completely modest. Brenn was a blast to work with! And something about her dress made me seriously homesick for the woods of Massachusetts, and reading Emily Dickinson poems on the lawn.

Sydney’s Custom Lace Wedding Gown
Candace’s Wedding Gown
Candace’s custom wedding gown is an ivory French Chantilly lace with silk charmeuse lining, rhinestone detailing and soft english net ruffle skirt. Her dress also features very slight puff sleeves with pearl buttons and a soft V neck. We had a blast taking her photos at the Utah Capitol Building.
Carlene Worthington’s Bridals
Remember this sneak peak? I don’t usually do sneak peaks, but I could hardly contain my excitement for this dress.
Carlene’s gown is a natural white colored alencon lace, with natural, unbleached cotton lining, english net ruffled godets and rhinestone and feather accents. Sweetheart neckline with eyelash lace, cap sleeves and a triple layered cut edge veil.
Ok. Prepare for a major gush-fest. I’m going to gush about these photos and this dress and Carlene. The photos are by Amada Peterson.
This first shot sent me over the edge! I don’t usually get to attend photo shoots for my clients with other photographers, but I had a chance to be there and make sure Carlene’s dress was perfect for the photos. No joke, Amanda was probably only two minutes into the photo shoot, and this shot happened.
It made my heart sing. Super cheese-ball, I know, but, really. This is so close to the vision I had in my head when Carlene and I designed her dress, it made me feel as if my heart would burst. She just looks so beautiful.
Her beadwork is full of rhinestones, feathers, buttons, pearls, seeds and sequins. My favorite part is the beautiful opacity on the silk-covered rhinestones. The contrasting silk duppion sash is pretty great too. Her dress was a complete textural wonderland!
Thanks (gush) to Amanda for the breathtaking images. And thanks for including me in your wedding, Carlene!

Sarah’s Blessing Gown 8.19.2010
Sarah is Alicia’s sweet, sweet baby. Her dress is silk duppioni with vintage rosette trim on her bonnet, dress, bloomers and booties, with a bit of ruffles and bows thrown in for good measure.
And I know this last one doesn’t really show off the dress, but I couldn’t resist a yawning baby.
